If Tomorrow Doesn't Come at least I read a slay book

  Today I’m talking about If Tomorrow Doesn’t Come by Jen St. Jude and this is one of those books that I read the little blurb/synopsis kind of deal that you see on the online listings and was immediately like, “Oh wow… I need to read this like stat.” It was that bad for me. I did also read the majority of this book over two train journeys. I went to London and had about four hours of time to be able to read, and got through about two-thirds of it, so my notes will be more scattered than normal. The blurb says that on the morning Avery Byrne plans to end her life, the world discovers there are only nine days left to live. An asteroid is heading to Earth, and no one can stop it. As time runs out and secrets slowly come to light, Avery fights her way home to save the girl she has been in love with her whole life. I knew frat houses were cursed, but The Pledge proves it

  I think the last horror/slasher book that I read was You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight , but today I’m talking about The Pledge by Cale Dietrich, which I picked up because I’ve read Dietrich’s other books, and I’m finally getting around to this one. In lieu of the other slasher book I’ve read, I remember being disappointed by You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight . Not completely, it certainly is a book with its merits – I remember the horror and tension being incredible, but then the book ended up taking a paranormal twist towards the end, and that was what threw me off, because it felt sort of unfounded in the context of the book, and that was something I was a little wary of coming into The Pledge .
