Let's break The Diablo's Curse

I am once again talking about a book that I bought at Gay’s the Word from London. Love her. I will be returning again. But I’m talking about The Diablo’s Curse by Gabe Cole Novoa. I have recollection that I bought this book specifically because I wanted something that wasn’t just romance, and was like, “Well, yes! Let’s read a different genre”, that’s it. The blurbiana Grande says that Dami is a demon determined to cancel every deal they’ve ever made. It’s the only way to tether their soul to earth and become human again. There’s just one person standing in their way. Silas. An irresistibly cute boy cursed to die young – except for the deal with Dami that is keeping him alive. If he cancels the deal, Silas is dead. Unless… they can end the curse that has plagued Silas’s family for generations. Together, Dami and Silas make their way to a dangerous island of the New England coast. If they can find the treasure hidden there and return it to the place where famous pirate Captain K...

The Survivor Wants to Die at the End

Today I’m talking about The Survivor Wants to Die at the End (The Survivor) by Adam Silvera. For the longest time, They Both Die at the End (They Both) was my favourite book. I remember when I was doing my master’s, for one of the first classes, we were asked to bring in a book we loved, and I brought that in. Ever since then, I have been slowly working my way through Silvera’s stuff, so when The Survivor came out, it made sense for me to read it. Before I move onto anything, I want to mention something the book does before the story starts: The book contains graphic depictions of self-harm. The blurb says that Paz Dario stays up every night, waiting for the Death-Cast call that would mean he doesn’t have to keep faking his way through this lonely life. After a devastating day, Paz decides he’s done waiting around for Death-Cast. If they say he’s not dying, he’ll just have to prove them wrong. But right before Paz can die, a boy saves his life. Alano Rosa is the heir to the ...

Okay, Cupid! Let's go date a human

So, I read I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver ages ago, loved it, and then proceeded not to read anything else by Deaver for years, and I have no idea why. But I’m talking about Okay, Cupid today as I finally got around to another Mason Deaver book. Our blurbara Walters says that as a cupid, Jude thinks they understand love a little bit more than the average human. It makes sense – Jude’s been studying love their whole teen life. And, yes, there have been some bumps in the road, and they’re currently on probation for doing something they absolutely, definitely shouldn’t have done… but they’re ready to prove they can make matches without getting too involved. It’s just a job, right? Jude’s next assignment isn’t about setting up two lovelorn adults. No, this time Jude has to go to high school to reconcile two best friends who are meant to be more than just best friends… if only they were still speaking to each other. Jude thinks they’ve got this one all under control, and ...

I Think They Love You: fake dating and only one bed

So Julian Winters is one of those authors that I’m just a fan of and that’s my entire reasoning for finally getting around to reading I Think They Love You . It’s been a good few months since it came out but I have a to be read list and I’m trying to get through that before reading new stuff but am not doing a very good job of that. The blurbiana grande says that when Denzel “Denz” Carter’s workaholic father and CEO of 24 Carter Gold unexpectedly announces his retirement, the competition is on for who will become his successor. To convince his family that he’s capable of commitment, Denz impulsively lies about being in a serious relationship. Now he needs to find a fake boyfriend to seal the deal on the CEO position. Denz is forced to turn to the last person he wants to be in a pretend (or any) relationship with: Braylon, the man who broke his heart. Braylon’s sudden reappearance in Denz’s life turns everything upside down. But apparently, he needs Denz’s connections to the mayor to wi...
