Shoutout to GMMTV and The Heart Killers!!!

The Heart Killers , based off the GMM series of the same name starring FirstKhaotung and JoongDunk. I read the preface of this book and had no idea that this book was literally based off the series. Usually, GMM will find a BL novel and then adapt that into a series, not the other way around. I do want to also mention that this post will contain spoilers. The blurb says that the evidence that proves killers have hearts has now appeared right before us. Fadel and Bison are assassins – who also happen to be the owners of a burger joint called Heart Burger. They live a seemingly normal life until two friend, Kant and Style, start barging into their world. At first, Fadel and Bison try not to pay them much attention, but for some reason, whenever these two appear, something stirs inside. They can’t help but feel a strange attraction every time they meet. Eventually, they find themselves developing feelings for them, all while suspecting that Kant and Style may have ulterior ...

I think The Build-a-Boyfriend Project is my book of the year

Image
Hello. The Build-a-Boyfriend Project by Mason Deaver. Another book I bought from Gay’s the Word in London, I think. The third book from Mason Deaver that I’ve read now, and also the third book that I absolutely loved. I know I tend not to say things like this simply in my intros, but I can’t help it. This is book of the year material for me, I don’t care. Miss blurb tells us that Eli Francis is stuck. Stuck in an assistant position at the online magazine Vent when he should be a writer. Stuck with a boss who dangles a promotion but would rather Eli just fetch coffee. Stuck working alongside an ex who has had no trouble moving up at work… or moving on. When Eli’s roommates push him to date so he can get over his ex once and for all, they set him up with Peter Park – tall, handsome, and unbelievably awkward. The date is a complete disaster, and further proof to Eli that love isn’t for him. But when his boss overhears Eli recounting the catastrophic night, he suggests Eli teach Peter to ...

At war for The Boy I Love

I’m talking about The Boy I Love by William Hussey. I don’t think this is Hussey’s second book, but it’s the second book of his I’ve read – the first being The Outrage . He is another one of those authors that I have no good explanation for why it’s taken me so long to get to another of his books, especially when I’ve seen that stuff has come out. The blurb says 1916. Returning to the Front after injury, nineteen-year-old Stephen wonder what he’s fighting for. Then he meets Private Danny McCormick, a smart, talented new recruit. From their first meeting, there’s something undeniable between them – something forbidden by both society and the army. Determined to protect Danny, Stephen must face down the ignorance of his superiors as well as the onslaught of German shells and sniper fire. As the summer ticks down to the Battle of the Somme, will Stephen and Danny’s love save them – or condemn them? We start off with Stephen on a train, waiting to depart, thinking about the friend he lost...
